the Destroyer speaks

The Creator breathed life into me just as into you; and as I am the elder, therefore you would do well to hear what I have to impart.

You wonder why your Beloved would unleash Evil, suffering, sorrow, and death upon the universe. The answer should be obvious to you, if you were not so desperate to avoid responsibility.

Evil is merely the darker of the two faces of your freedom. In other words, mine.

Without me, you are all less than slaves; you are cattle.

In the heat of your worst suffering, therefore - when I satisfy myself at the abundant springs of your pain - be thankful.

The gift the Creator gave to you was, after all, never bestowed upon me.
